(Berthold, ND) — Federal investigators are looking into reports of missing mail in the Berthold area. Police say they’ve gotten several reports of missing letters and packages. In addition, other people living in the area say they’ve received graduation cards, but the money inside them was missing. Authorities say mail theft is a federal crime that comes with harsh penalties.
