(Emerado, ND) — A former Emerado city auditor faces felony charges for allegedly misusing and stealing city funds. On Tuesday, Wendy Sullivan was charged with theft and misapplication of entrusted property. She worked as city auditor from 2019 to 2022, and authorities say she stole or misappropriated 115-thousand dollars worth of city funds during that time. Both charges Sullivan is facing carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. A warrant for her arrest was issued Tuesdsay, but had yet to be approved by a judge as of Thursday afternoon.
