(Minot, ND) — More information is coming in about a former Minot Public School paraprofessional arrested as part of a child sex crime investigation. A criminal affidavit says that 27-year-old Hiroki Ito was exchanging messages with two teens on social media, including offers to get alcohol for the teens. The affidavit also says Ito had “virtual sleepovers” on Snapchat video calls with the teens. Ito reportedly tried to contact the teens again the day after he was removed from the school campus by administrators, according to the affidavit. Ito made his first court appearance on Monday and his preliminary hearing and arraignment are scheduled for January 16th.
