(Jamestown, ND) — A former North Dakota High School Player of the Year and College National Player of the Year has signed a contract with the NBA G-League.
University of Jamestown’s all-time career scoring and rebounding leader Mason Walters signed with the Valley Suns and will report to training camp later this month. Walters earned NAIA National Player of the Year honors with the Jimmies after finishing high school as North Dakota “Mister Basketball” and Gatorade North Dakota Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year in 2019. After graduating from Jamestown, he transferred to University of Wyoming as a graduate student and member of the Cowboys basketball team.
The Jamestown native started in 22 games for Wyoming last year, averaging 12-point-two points and five-point-four rebounds per game.
