(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Burgum is proposing a 96-million-dollar housing initiative. The plan would provide financing assistance to developers for building new single and multi-family homes. During a news conference yesterday, Burgum said every North Dakotan should have access to safe, affordable, quality housing. The governor touted the housing plan as a way to attract more workers to come to North Dakota. The plan will be included in Burgum’s state budget proposal which will be announced early next month.
