Gov. Burgum Announces Alan Dohrmann’s Retirement

(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Doug Burgum has announced that Major General Alan Dohrmann, Adjutant General of the North Dakota National Guard, will be retiring. Dohrmann is also the director of the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services. Burgum thanked Dohrmann for his 40-plus years of military service and leadership, saying that he “dedicated more than four decades of his life to protecting our state and nation and defending our freedom”. North Dakota’s next adjutant general and Emergency Services director will be announced before September 30th.
