Gov. Burgum Selects General Mitchell Johnson To Lead North Dakota National Guard

(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Doug Burgum has selected Brigadier General Mitchell Johnson to serve as the next leader of North Dakota’s National Guard. Johnson most recently served as commander of the 119th Wing of the state’s Air National Guard. He’ll now serve as the state National Guard’s next adjutant general, along with director of the Department of Emergency Services. Johnson succeeds Major General Alan Dohrmann, and he will begin his new role on September 15th.
