Gov. Burgum Votes In Favor Of EV Study

(Bismarck, ND) — Even though he’s not a fan of electric vehicles, Governor Burgum has voted in favor of using state money to study North Dakota’s electric vehicle infrastructure. The North Dakota Industrial Commission has agreed to give the Energy and Environmental Resource Center in Grand Forks 375-thousand dollars to develop a multi-state plan. Despite his vote in favor of the study, Burgum says he has concerns about electric vehicles functioning in North Dakota’s cold weather, along with the resilience of the state’s electrical grid.
