Governor Burgum Establishes New Office Of Outdoor Recreation

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has signed an executive order creating the new Office of Outdoor Recreation. The office is being established within the Parks and Recreation Department’s Outreach and Engagement Division, and will help develop plans, strategies, and initiatives to maximize the impact of outdoor recreation in North Dakota. Burgum says the state’s economy sees a one-point-three-billion-dollar boost annually from outdoor recreation. North Dakota now joins 20 other states and Washington D.C in establishing an office dedicated to outdoor recreation.
