(Bismarck, ND) — The Cabinet for Governor-elect Kelly Armstrong is taking shape. He announced yesterday that Joe Morrissette, who is part of Armstrong’s transition team, will return as director of the Office of Management and Budget. He had held the role from 2018 to May of 2023 before leaving for a teaching position at the University of Mary. Chris Schilken will be the new Department of Commerce Commissioner and Representative Corey Mock of Grand Forks will be the CIO for the North Dakota Information Technology Department. Armstrong also announced several Cabinet members are being retained from Governor Burgum’s administration, including Transportation Director Ron Henke.
