Grand Forks Lawmaker Pleads Guilty To Lesser Charge After DUI Arrest

(Grand Forks, ND) — Republican Grand Forks Representative Claire Cory has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of reckless driving following her DUI arrest earlier this year. She was pulled over by police in Grand Forks back in May, and a breathalyzer test revealed that her blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit. Cory was given a suspended 12-day jail sentence, and she’s required to pay a 901-dollar fine and submit a chemical dependency evaluation to the court.
