(Grand Forks, ND) — A Grand Forks man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for child neglect and drug crimes. Thirty-five-year-old Alexander Gothberg was arrested last year after he called 911 and reported that his two-year-old daughter was overdosing on fentanyl. The child survived, but police found a variety of illegal drugs, two cell phones, a handgun, and about 700-dollars in cash when they searched Gothberg’s home. After his release, Gothberg will be on supervised probation for three years and must register as an offender against children.
