Grand Forks Man Sentenced For Mall Incident

(East Grand Forks, MN) — A Grand Forks man will serve 36 months in prison for an incident that happened last year at the Riverwalk Mall in East Grand Forks. Police say 38-year-old Jason Noyes confronted a woman as she exited a bathroom, grabbed her by the wrist, and told her he had a knife. The woman was able to fight Noyes off, and he was later arrested and charged with first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct. However, Noyes gave an Alford guilty plea to the lesser crime of third-degree criminal sexual conduct last month, and he was sentenced on Thursday.
