(Fargo, ND) — A Grand Forks man will serve a 13-year sentence in federal prison on charges of Possession of Stolen Firearms and Assaulting a Federal Agent. A news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office says 45-year-old Micael Allen Otto is also being ordered to pay nearly three-thousand dollars for damaged police and FBI vehicles. The release said two stolen firearms were found in Otto’s vehicle after he led police on a high-speed chase in September 2023. This past July, Otto “rammed his vehicle” into a Grand Forks Police Department vehicle and an FBI vehicle when officers and agents tried to take him into custody for “violating terms” of his pretrial release. The sentence was issued Monday in a Fargo courtroom.
