(Bismarck, ND) — A new proposal is designed to help boost the fortunes of small-town North Dakota grocery stores. The state House passed a bill yesterday that would create a one million dollar grant program to help ensure access to fresh food in rural areas. The grant money would be allocated by the state Department of Commerce. The state Senate approved the measure earlier this week.
