Great Plains Food Bank Served Record Number Of People In 2023

(Bismarck, ND) –The Great Plains Food Bank says they served a record number of people in need last year. The food bank says they provided food to more than 156-thousand people in 2023, which is 13-percent higher than the number of people served in 2022. Great Plains Food Bank CEO Melissa Sobolik says increasing inflation and rising food prices are big factors in the increased need. She says the figures don’t call for a record-breaking celebration, but instead represent a call to action.
