(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota officials broke ground Tuesday to mark the start of construction of a 70-million-dollar State Laboratory on the Capitol grounds in Bismarck. Governor Doug Burgum attended the ceremony, and said the new facility will allow for a safer and more efficient workflow, and will enable the state to better respond to public health issues. Construction of the 100-thousand-square-foot facility is expected to wrap up in 2026.
