(Walhalla, ND) — North Dakota officials participated in Friday’s groundbreaking ceremony at Pembina Gorge State Park near Walhalla. Pembina Gorge is North Dakota’s newest state park, and will feature a 35-site campground, underground utilities, roads, six full-service cabins, and other amenities. While Governor Burgum initially planned to attend the ceremony, he was in New York to discuss former President Trump’s recent conviction on Fox News. Governor’s Office Chief of Staff Jace Beehler attended the event in place of Burgum.
