Hazardous Materials On Train That Derailed

(Balfour, ND) — Officials say there were hazardous materials on a train that derailed near Balfour yesterday. According to Canadian Pacific, three train cars contained items including lithium batteries and methanol when the crash happened near Highway 52. However, none of the hazardous items leaked out. The derailment remains under investigation.
