Historic Photos Of 1957 Fargo Tornado Damage Found

(Moorhead, MN) — A Moorhead woman has discovered historic aftermath photos from the devastating 1957 Fargo tornado. The photos were found in a box underneath a bed that belonged to Barb Fraundorfer’s grandmother, and show scenes of destroyed homes and scattered rubble that the tornado left behind. Fraundorfer was three years old at the time of the tornado, and says she remembers watching it through a pair of binoculars. The 1957 Fargo tornado killed ten people and was rated an F5, the strongest intensity ranking a tornado can receive.
