Hit-and-Run Suspect Didn’t Want To ‘Believe the Worst’

(Fargo, ND) — New details are being released on the hit-and-run that killed a Fargo woman last Monday. According to court documents, Alex Cruz says he didn’t stop after hitting Robyn Krause because he did not want to believe the worst. He first told officers he thought he had hit a deer — but when he got to work — he knew that wasn’t the case. When officers searched his car, they found four grams of marijuana, a metal grinder and five THC vape pens. Cruz is charged with duty in an accident involving death or injury, driving under suspension, and speeding.
