(Washington, DC) — Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer are recommending a state judge to take over as the U.S. Attorney from North Dakota. On Tuesday, the two Republicans endorsed state court judge Nicholas Chase to fill the seat being vacated by U.S. Attorney Mac Schneider. A joint statement from the senators said Chase has dedicated his career to serving North Dakota, and that his efforts have been “particularly impactful in addressing crime in Indian Country and dismantling large-scale drug organizations targeting North Dakota communities.”
