(Bismarck, ND) — A new state bill would allow North Dakota drivers to have darker tint on their car windows. The House bill introduced Thursday would allow drivers to choose darker tint on all of their front windows except for the windshield, which must let in at least 70 percent of the light. Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser showed up in Bismarck to show his support for the idea, and admitted that he doesn’t even write tint tickets. North Dakota drivers who are currently stopped for having tint that’s too dark can get a 20-dollar ticket.
