(Grand Forks, ND) — The Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a house fire Saturday afternoon. Fire crews received a report of a fire at a single-family home along Cottonwood Street, and found a small fire burning in the home’s living room when they arrived. Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to the rest of the home, and no structural damage or injuries were reported. The Grand Forks Fire Department issued a statement reminding people to exercise caution when using open flames and to check detectors regularly.
