(Bismarck, ND) — Spring rain has resulted in an increased mosquito population in North Dakota, bringing West Nile Virus concerns. North Dakota Health and Human Services reminds you to take precautions against mosquito bites, including staying indoors around dusk and dawn, and removing standing water from your property. Wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts can also help protect you from mosquitos. North Dakota saw 58 West Nile Virus cases last year, two of which were fatal.
