Infrastructure Bill To Improve Railroad Crossings

(Grand Forks, ND) — A Biden Administration infrastructure bill will help improve the safety and convenience of railroad crossings in North Dakota. This includes a problematic crossing at Forty-Second Street and DeMers Avenue in Grand Forks, where frequent passage of trains backs up traffic for hours per day. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited Grand Forks on Monday, stressing the importance of the funding and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. Additional funding for nationwide railroad crossings is expected in the coming years.
