Inmate Sentenced For Stabbing, Having Weapons

(Bismarck, ND) — An inmate at the North Dakota State Penitentiary in Bismarck has been sentenced to five more years for two prison stabbings. Jeremy Rodriguez Rios is already serving a 45-year sentence for a double murder that happened in 2015, and prison officials say he stabbed two inmates with an improvised weapon in 2022. The two inmates survived, and Rodriguez Rios was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon by an inmate, terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a controlled substance. He pleaded guilty on Thursday.
