Jamestown Man Accused Of Injuring Officer

(Jamestown, ND) — A Jamestown man is accused of injuring a police officer at a bar. It happened late last week, when a bartender at The Corner Bar called police saying a patron wouldn’t leave. Arriving officers encountered Justin Simmons, who authorities say injured one of them as they took him into custody. The injured officer didn’t require medical treatment, and Simmons was taken to the Stutsman County Corrections Center. He faces charges of criminal trespassing and preventing arrest.
