(Bismarck, ND) — Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak beat former Bismarck state Representative Rick Becker and three other candidates in the nomination for North Dakota’s sole U.S. House seat. Unofficial primary results show Fedorchak got 46-point-one-percent of the vote, followed by Becker with 20-point-one-percent. The race wasn’t without last-minute controversy, as a misleading text was sent to voters implying that Fedorchak had withdrawn. Fedorchak described the text as “categorically false” and “election interference”, and is filing a complaint with the Federal Election Commission.
