(Lincoln, ND) — Lincoln’s Mayor is asking Police Chief Robyn Krile to reconsider after she submitted her resignation this week. Krile says she’s quitting because the council has directed her to eliminate all current and future training opportunities without any discussion. Mayor Keli Berglund says the city isn’t getting rid of training opportunities, but is putting a pause on them. Berglund points out the annual cost for officer training went from 4-thousand to 14-thousand a year, and that all officers on the force have exceeded their standards and training.
