(Dunn County, ND) — An equipment failure at a Dunn County oil well has resulted in a major produced water spill. Officials say it happened on Monday at a well site owned by XTO Energy, and 652 barrels of produced water were released. XTO Energy says the spill was contained to the well site, and all 652 barrels were recovered. A state inspector visited the site to assess the containment and cleanup efforts, and will continue to monitor the situation.
