(McVille, ND) — A man has been arrested for allegedly beating his parents with a shotgun. On Monday morning, police responded to a report of two people injured inside a home near McVille, where a man admitted to striking his parents in the head with a shotgun after an argument and said they needed medical aid. The man was identified as Darin Harder, and police announced that they would not enter the home until he surrendered himself. After a brief standoff, Harder came outside and was arrested, and police entered the home. His parents were found inside suffering from head injuries and were taken to a hospital, and Harder is now facing reckless endangerment and aggravated assault charges.
