Man Accused Of Threatening To Kill Deputy

(Cavalier County, ND) — A man accused of threatening to kill a sheriff’s deputy made his initial court appearance Monday. Earlier this month, the Cavalier County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call from 42-year-old Jason Duerr, who claimed he’d stolen a Dakota Supply Group van. Police located Duerr and the van, and Duerr was arrested after he admitted to being on drugs. When deputies tried to take him to jail, he became combative and allegedly threatened to kill one of the deputies. He faces charges of felony terrorizing and preventing arrest.
