Man Accused Of Trying To Strangle Co-Worker Pleads Not Guilty

(Grand Forks, ND) — A Grand Forks man accused of trying to strangle his co-worker with his hands and an extension cord has pleaded not guilty. Suspect Alexander Thompson was arrested in April after the attack, and he faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault. Witnesses say the victim lost consciousness, and Thompson allegedly said “I’m going to kill you” during the attack. He faces up to 20 years in prison for the attempted murder charge.
