Man Arrested After Shots Fired In East Grand Forks

(East Grand Forks, MN) — A man is in custody after he allegedly fired shots in East Grand Forks Sunday morning. Police responded to reports of shots fired near 17th Avenue Northwest, and identified Marko Ruot as a suspect. He allegedly barricaded himself in an apartment unit near Primrose Court, but he eventually surrendered and was arrested after negotiators and the Grand Forks Regional SWAT team arrived at the scene. Nobody was injured in the shooting, and authorities say charges are currently pending.
