Man Faces Animal Cruelty Charges

(Crary, ND) — A man is charged with six counts of animal cruelty after police say he left a dog locked away in a camper to die. Authorities found the dog after they were called to a property in Crary, and say the camper appeared to be full of animal waste and the remains of other dead dogs. The owner was identified as Brandon Rogness, and he reportedly told officers that he was unable to take care of the dogs and was looking to rehome them. Rogness was still in custody as of Monday, and his preliminary hearing and arraignment are scheduled for May 2nd.
