(Hankinson, ND) — Authorities have released the identity of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash near Hankinson last Friday as 59-year-old Terry Pierson. The crash happened when Pierson lost control of his vehicle on Interstate 29 early that morning. He crashed into a barricade post, a ditch, and the posts of a highway sign, and the crash site was found later that morning. Pierson was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and that the roads were dry at the time of the crash.
