Man Pleads Not Guilty In Fentanyl-Filled Elmo Case

(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck man accused of trying to deliver fentanyl hidden inside a stuffed Elmo doll has pleaded not guilty. The investigation began when authorities intercepted a suspicious package being shipped from Detroit to Bismarck and found the doll, which reportedly contained roughly 12-hundred fentanyl pills. Police say they traced the package to Dyron Marshall, and he was later arrested in Bismarck. He’s charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and attempted possession of a controlled substance, and his trial is set for April.
