Man Sentenced For Deadly Minot Bar Shooting

(Minot, ND) — A man who fatally shot another man at a Minot bar last year will serve at least 7 years in prison. It happened at the Original Bar, where Travis McDermott got into an argument with Grayson Sletto. Witnesses say the argument escalated before McDermott pulled a gun from his waistband and fired two shots at Sletto, killing him. McDermott was found guilty of manslaughter and reckless endangerment in January, and he was sentenced on Monday. He’s also ordered to pay 51-thousand dollars in restitution to the Sletto family.
