Man Sentenced For Minot Bar Shooting

(Minot, ND) — A man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a shooting that injured two people at a Minot bar. It happened last February at the Dakota Lounge, where 40-year-old Theophris Drake opened fire after a friend of his got into a dispute with another man. One victim was left with permanent injuries, while the other was taken to a hospital and released 24 hours later. Drake pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Wednesday. He apologized for his actions, and agreed to pay 100-thousand dollars in restitution.
