(Bismarck, ND) — A Mandan man who’s accused of firing a gun into the air in Bismarck has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. It happened in late March, when police say James McGowan fired the gun after he got into an argument with a woman at a party. Police were called and McGowan was arrested on charges of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. However, the terrorizing with a dangerous weapon charge was later dropped. McGowan is scheduled to go to trial on July 24th.
