(Mandan, ND) — A Mandan man is in custody after police say he violently attacked a woman last weekend. Officers were called to a mobile home park on Sunday after a witness reported seeing a man hit a woman inside a car. Officers arrived and located the man and woman, and noticed the woman had cuts on her face and chest. The woman reportedly told officers she had been arguing with the man, identified as Wayne Martinez, and he hit her with a heavy iron tool. Police say they found suspected meth and fentanyl on Martinez when they took him into custody, and he’s charged with aggravated assault and drug possession.
