Mental Health Crisis Prompts Shelter In Place In Leonard

(Leonard, ND) — An incident at a building in Leonard Thursday resulted in a shelter-in-place order being issued. Officials say a person at the former Old Café refused to leave the property and may have been experiencing a mental health crisis. Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene to ensure everyone’s safety, and people were asked to stay inside and avoid the area. The situation later ended without incident, and the shelter-in-place order was lifted.
