(Minot, ND) — Minot Air Force Base has welcomed U.S. Air Force Colonel James Slaton as the new 91st Security Forces Commander. A ceremony was held as Slaton took his new position as commander on Tuesday. He will oversee operations involving the 91st Missile Wing Rough Riders’ 18-hundred airmen, along with civilians in support of the Minuteman III ICBMs. Slaton has served for roughly 23 years, including in many strategic nuclear positions.
