(Minot, ND) — Flood protection, fire debris cleanup and property taxes are among the issues Minot City Council is considering taking to state lawmakers when the new legislative session begins. Minot City Council met last Friday to determine key issues for the community. Public transit superintendent Brian Horinka noted that Minot has lost federal funding from rural grants since the city was reclassified as urban following the 2020 census. Horinka said Minot is “looking at some challenging times moving forward.”
