(Minot, ND) — A Minot man is appealing his manslaughter and reckless endangerment conviction to the North Dakota Supreme Court. Travis McDermott was found guilty for causing the death of Greyson Sletto in a Minot bar fight in May of 2023. Court records show McDermott is appealing because jurors saw him in shackles and handcuffs, despite a judge’s order that he was to be free of any visible restraints. McDermott’s attorneys presented oral arguments Tuesday.
