(Fargo, ND) — A Minnesota-based real estate company is being fined ten-thousand dollars for not disclosing that a home it sold in Hillsboro had lead-based paint. A federal magistrate judge also ruled that Valley Property Partners LLC must serve one year of probation and pay almost 43-hundred dollars in restitution. The sentence handed down Tuesday comes after the company failed to provide the homebuyer with required lead-based paint disclosures. Two children who lived in the house ended up having elevated blood lead levels.
