Moose, Elk, Bighorn Sheep Hunting License Applications Due This Month

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s moose, elk, and bighorn sheep hunting license applications are due on March 27th. A moose, elk, or bighorn sheep license is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in North Dakota if your name gets drawn. There will be more opportunities for hunters looking to harvest an elk in 2024. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department has added another 230 licenses this year, most of them in the northeastern part of the state. They’ll be handing out 833 elk licenses this year, but they’ll be handing out fewer moose hunting licenses due to a declining population.
