(Bismarck, ND) — The trial of a Bismarck man accused of killing a teenage girl began Monday as the prosecutor and defense attorney gave opening statements. Corbin Lampert is charged with murder in the shooting death of 16-year-old Taryn Hohbein. She was killed last June, and witnesses say Lampert was holding the gun seconds before Hohbein was shot. However, his attorney says the evidence points elsewhere, and that the gun used in the shooting was found with someone else at the scene. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
