ND Chief Justice Jensen Calls For Higher Pay For Judicial Staff

(Bismarck, ND) — The Chief Justice of North Dakota is calling for higher pay for judicial staff. Chief Justice Jon Jensen delivered the State of the Judiciary during Tuesday’s session, and said “The citizens of North Dakota desire the best judicial system available.” Jensen called for a pay increase, and said “attracting and retaining dedicated individuals must be a priority.” Jensen said a recent study showed North Dakota judges have the highest criminal caseload in the U.S., and are among the fastest courts in processing cases.
